Many
thanks to our generous supporters who are helping to keep
culture alive in SW Washington and young minds inspired. In 1999 Tim and Victoria Racz were asked by music students to form a youth symphony specially for them, in their city. Portland has two youth symphonies and the fact that
Vancouver had none made these young musicians feel as if they weren't appreciated, or talented enough. So, the Racz's moved to Vancouver and formed the
Junior Symphony of Vancouver especially for these
wonderful kids. They have been building this successful organization since then. We greatly appreciate those
sponsors who have helped keep your Junior Symphony alive. We
are still seeking sponsors for other necessities such as
sheet music, stands, coaching fees, advertising, etc., and
appreciate any help. If you can contribute, please let us
know. Remember that the identity of a city is created through its culture, and Vancouver is still struggling to find its place. Do you shop at Safeway
