Timoteus Racz, B.M., M.M., received his formal training from internationally renowned musicians such as the Concertmaster of the Chicago Symphony, Victor Aitay, and intensive orchestral training from Conductor Zoltan Rozsnyai, founder of the Philharmonica Hungarica (Germany). Mr. Racz has performed internationally as a soloist, recitalist and concertmaster and is in demand as a teacher in the Northwest. He is the Artistic Director and Concertmaster of the conductorless ensemble, the OREGON CHAMBER PLAYERS. He is also the Artistic Director and Conductor of the Junior Symphony of Vancouver.  He is an active composer and has composed violin etudes, solos and a concerto, string orchestra pieces and other assorted works for chamber ensembles including commissions for the Double Reed Divas. His own violin shop, Racz European Violins, was opened in August 2001 in Vancouver, WA.
 

Associate Conductor David Ogden Steirs

David Ogden Stiers

Although best known as an actor, David Ogden Stiers has had an active secondary career as a conductor. He has guest conducted over 70 American orchestras in such cities as San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Honolulu, and Chicago, and is the Associate Conductor of the Newport Symphony Orchestra and the Ernest Bloch Music Festival in Oregon.

An accomplished actor of stage, film, and television, Stiers' career has spanned over 30 years. He was born in Peoria, Illinois, and he began his acting career in Northern California. He then moved to New York City, where he studied drama at Juilliard and joined the Houseman Acting Company at its outset. He has also worked with the Old Globe Theatre, San Francisco's The Actor's Workshop, The California Shakespeare Festival, and The Committee Revue and Theatre. Aside from numerous regional theatre productions, Stiers has appeared in productions including Ulysses in Night Town, The Magic Show, and currently playing the General in Irving Berlin’s White Christmas on Broadway.

A three-time Emmy-award nominated actor, Stiers has appeared in a multitude of both television films and series. He is most widely known for his role as "Major Charles Emerson Winchester III" on M*A*S*H, for which he garnered two Emmy nominations. He has appeared on numerous series including Ally McBeal, The Practice, Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, Murder, She Wrote, Matlock, Wings, and Star Trek: The Next Generation. He has also been seen in a number of television films, including the epic mini-series North & South, HBO's The Final Days, USA's Final Notice and The Pedestrian, The Bad Seed, and The First Olympics: Athens 1896, for which he was nominated for an Emmy.

On the big screen, Stiers' list of credits includes The Curse of the Jade Scorpion, The Cheap Detective, Oh, God, Magic, Doc Hollywood, Everyone Says I Love You, Mighty Aphrodite, Harry's War, Creator, Better Off Dead, The Accidental Tourist, and The Majestic.

Stiers has also lent his voice to several animated films, including Walt Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Pocahontas, and Lilo and Stitch.
